Pedro N. Torres Jr., 27, of 45 Borowy Road, and his girlfriend, Jenni Marie Cosmos, 25, of 91 Clark St., Wolcott, were arrested in the Wendy's Restaurant parking lot Thursday night. Greenwich officers were investigating reports of heroin dealing in town when they made the bust, police said.

Torres and Cosmos were were each charged with sale and possession of narcotics. During a search, officers found 57 bags of heroin in Torres' possession, Greenwich Police said.

Two weeks ago, the Watertown Police Department slapped the same drug charges on Torres, Greenwich Police said.

After that arrest, he was released on $5,000 bond. But after his arrest Thursday, Torres was unable to post his $50,000 bond and was held in custody, Greenwich Police said.

Cosmos was released on a promise to appear in court. Both are scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford on Friday.

Officers were following up on reports of heroin dealing in town, police said, and their information led them to the Wendy's Restaurant parking lot, where they found the couple at 9:30 p.m. There were no incidents during the arrest, police said.
