Christian Porter-Lopez, 50, of Greenwich, was arrested around just after midnight Tuesday when Greenwich Police officers found him sitting in his vehicle with the engine running on the southernmost shoulder of Spruce St, said Greenwich Police.
When officers approached the vehicle Porter-Lopez appeared to be nodding off, police said.
When asked to take a series of field sobriety tests he agreed but failed the tests.
Porter-Lopez was charged with driving under the influence and failure to stay in the proper lane. He was released after posting $250 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 18.
