Kenneth Wood-Cahusac, 61, was found near a private dock, police said.
“Early in the evening of March 16, 2017, officers of the Greenwich Police Department returned to the area surrounding Carry Road and continued to search for a missing 61-year-old local resident,” Greenwich Police Lt. Kraig Gray said in a press release. “At approximately 6 p.m. our officers located a body under the ice along the eastern shoreline of the Mianus River. The body was located in the shallows near a small private boat dock.”
The body was positively identified as Wood-Cahusac.
An Investigator from the Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner’s office helped Greenwich Police in recovering the body. Police are continuing to investigate the death, Gray said in the release.
He had been reported missing at 8:30 p.m. Monday by his sister, police said.
Woodd-Cahusac lived on the border between Riverside and Cos Cob near the Mianus River, and is autistic and partially deaf, police said.
He was last seen by his neighbors on Sunday walking up and down his street, which police said is normal behavior for him.
