On Tuesday, July 9 at approximately 3:07 p.m., police were called to 27 Valley Drive on a report of ongoing check fraud at the post office, according to Greenwich Police.
An officer approached the alleged suspect, Antoine M. Mable, of Manhattan, police said.
An investigation reportedly revealed that Mable tried to cash a fraudulent postal money order for $808, according to police.
The investigation also revealed that Mable had an active warrant stemming from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police Department, said Greenwich Police.
Mable was charged with fifth-degree larceny and first-degree forgery said police.
He was assigned a Wednesday, July 10 court appearance at Stamford Superior court but unable to post bond and then assigned an appearance at Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday, July 24.
