GREENWICH, Conn. A Bronx, N.Y., man was arrested Thursday and charged with forging prescriptions on a pad stolen from a Scarsdale doctors office to get oxycodone from a Greenwich pharmacy.
Michael Mango, 27, of 1254 Hollywood Ave., was arrested on a warrant while he was being held in the Bronx, police said. Police said he used a local female accomplice to get the oxycodone from Grannick's pharmacy on four different occasions.
Mango would have the female accomplice enter the establishment to present the forged prescription while he waited outside in the vehicle, Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesmen for the Greenwich Police Department, said in the arrest report.
He was charged with forgery in the second degree, obtaining a controlled substance by forgery, illegal possession, obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, conspiracy to obtain a controlled drug, criminal attempt at obtaining a controlled drug and tampering with a witness.
He was being held on a $10,000 bond and is due in court June 22.
