The incident took place around 1121 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 15, when Greenwich Police responded to a report of a crash on Hartford Avenue, Greenwich Police said.
Once on the scene, officers found that the driver, Elijah Fenty, 35, of Wakefield, Rhode Island, admitted he had struck a parked vehicle, police said.
While officers were speaking with Fenty they reported he had red glassy eyes, slurred speech, and an odor of alcoholic type beverage, police said.
Field sobriety tests were performed, which Fenty failed, police said.
He was charged with unsafe movement, and driving while intoxicated.
He was released on a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Nov. 29.
