The 2015 Land Rover was reported stolen on Thursday morning, Greenwich Time reported. It was recovered in Waterbury on Sunday, and was processed for evidence, according to Greenwich Time.
This latest incident is one of several stolen cars and motor vehicle burglaries that have been reported in Greenwich in recent weeks. Early last week Greenwich Police Chief James J. Heavey sent out a message to residents, urging them to lock their cars and secure their belongings after eight cars were reported stolen in a span of two weeks.
Heavey reiterated his message again later in the week, after three additional cars were reported stolen in town. Greenwich residents are reminded to always lock their cars, secure their belongings, and never leave their keys inside their cars. Report any suspicious persons or vehicles to the police.
