Investigators Renew Search For Human Remains In Binney Park In Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Police and other investigators are continuing to search for more materials or remains in Binney Park Thursday morning following the discovery of human remains in late April.

On the morning of Wednesday, April 26, Greenwich Town Parks employees were clearing debris from a wooded area of Helen Binney Kitchel Natural Park when they discovered what appeared to be human remains, police said. Police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that they were indeed human remains, but said they were not from a recent event.

The teams were checking contaminated tidal areas near where the remains were found, police said. The dive teams were also entering the waters in the park and searching for additional materials or remains that may be related to the case.
