Greenwich Woman Charged With Leaving Child, 4, Alone In Apartment

GREENWICH, Conn. — A Greenwich woman was charged with leaving her child alone after the 4-year-old was found about a block from their home by a passing motorist in an incident last month, Greenwich Police said.

Naoko Yamazaki was charged with leaving a 4-year-child alone in an apartment. The child was found wandering down the street, Greenwich Police said.

Naoko Yamazaki, 45, of 193 Henry St., Apt. B, turned herself in to police on Monday on an arrest warrant on a charge of risk of injury to a child. 

The incident happened on Nov. 18 when Yamazaki is alleged to have left the 4-year-old alone for more than one hour, police said. The child was discovered wandering on the street about one block from the home by a motorist, police said.
