Greenwich Wedding Guest Accused of Stealing

GREENWICH, Conn. – A guest at a wedding Sunday at the Indian Harbor Yacht Club in Greenwich was arrested after other guests reported their property missing, police said Wednesday.

Greenwich police said the man was caught on surveillance camera stealing the items from behind the front desk before leaving the wedding. Police later identified the suspect as David Lee Jentis, 32, of 1861 Copa De Oro, El Paso, Tex.

Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the Greenwich Police Department, said four guests of the wedding reported purses, credit cards and digital cameras missing.

Greenwich Police located Jentis at the Stamford Marriott Hotel and Spa, where he was staying. He admitted taking the property and was arrested on charges of larceny in the fourth degree and credit card theft.

Jentis was taken into police custody and released on a $5,000 bond. He is due in court on June 28.
