According to Heavey, during the late evening of Dec. 3, a local resident called about a suspicious vehicle with two occupants parked on a residential street. When Greenhaw arrived at the scene, the two subject’s stories seemed plausible enough, but Greenhaw continued to thoroughly investigate their claims and uncovered an unreported crime involving a juvenile.

The two individuals subsequently were arrested for risk of injury to a minor and interfering with an officer.

"You are commended for your dedication in the performance of your duties," Heavey told Greenshaw. "Your actions reflect great credit upon yourself, your fellow officers and the Greenwich Police Department and on behalf of the community I thank you for a job well done."
