Greenwich Police Investigate Cabbie Assault, Attempted Robbery

GREENWICH, Conn. – A cab driver in Bryam told police that he was assaulted during an attempted robbery early Tuesday morning, according to Greenwich Time.

Police told Greenwich Time that the RC Taxi driver picked up a passenger on Morgan Avenue in Byram around 4:30 a.m. for a trip to Port Chester, N.Y., Greenwich Time said.

It was then that the passenger grabbed the cabbie and began to punch him and demand cash, causing the vehicle to hit a tree, reported Greenwich Time.

The assailant escaped on foot, and the cabbie suffered minor cuts and bruising as a result, Greenwich Time noted.
