Greenwich Police Charge Stamford Man With Felony Assault

GREENWICH, Conn. -- A Stamford man faces felony assault charges after Greenwich police responded to a fight on the Greenwich-Stamford border, police said.

James Curcio is charged with second-degree assault after allegedly attacking a victim, according to Greenwich police.

A witness placed James Curcio, 19, of Stamford at the scene of a fight in the area of Rockmere Avenue, police said. After an investigation, police said they determined that Curcio allegedly assaulted a victim during the fight and caused damage to property on Rockmere Avenue.

Curcio was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, second-degree trespassing and second-degree criminal mischief. He was released without incident and given a court date of June 3 at Stamford Superior Court.
