The teen told officers that on Nov. 17 he was at home alone at 279 Davis Ave. when two men dressed in black assaulted him and stole $11,500 worth of jewelry belonging to his mother’s boyfriend, police said. However, a police investigation determined that the teen had set up the staged home invasion with a friend.
The teen was issued a juvenile summons on two counts each of falsely reporting an incident, interfering with an officer, second-degree larceny, second-degree criminal damage of a landlord’s property and third-degree burglary.
The teen, who wasn’t named due to his age, will appear in Stamford Superior Court on Tuesday.
The investigation into the incident was continuing, police said.
