Police: Greenwich Man Hit Woman in Head With Beer Bottle

GREENWICH, Conn. – After allegedly hitting a woman on the head with a beer bottle, a 22-year-old Greenwich man was arrested on domestic violence-related charges Sunday night, police said.

When officers arrived at a Delavan Avenue residence, the suspect was attempting to flee on a rear stairwell, police said. But he was detained and arrested.

Christian Orlando Perez-Gonzalez, of 319 Delavan Ave., Apt. 2, was arguing with an unidentified woman within the residence when he became violent, police said. Perez-Gonzalez allegedly threw a beer bottle and hit her in the head before throwing and breaking her cellphone, police said.

Perez-Gonzalez was arrested on charges of criminal mischief, interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct and assault.

He was held on $5,000 bond and was due in court Monday morning.
