Greenwich Firefighters Respond To Scene Of Leaking Propane Tank At Home

GREENWICH, Conn. — The Greenwich Fire Department responded Thursday morning to a leaking 500-gallon propane tank at a home at 5 Meadowcroft Lane.

Firefighters used water to control the vapors from the leak, spreading out hundreds of feet of 5-inch hose at the scene, the Greenwich Professional Firefighters Local 1042 said via Twitter. The tank appears to be in the backyard of the home. 

The propane delivery company was also on the scene working to contain the leak. 

The scene is between Lake Avenue and North Street, just a few blocks from Greenwich Catholic School and Sam Bridge Nursery
