Henry O. Iyasere, 28, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested in the pharmacy's waiting area and charged with trying to illegally obtain 30 mg oxycodone pills, according to the police report.
While being detained at the store, Iyasere told police two companions were waiting for him in a car in the pharmacy lot, according to the report. Tiara Smith, 23, and Smiley Abney, 27, both of Bronx, N.Y., were located in the car and allegedly gave false statements to the officers, according to the report.
Police said the doctor named on the prescription told them Iyasere is not his patient.
Iyasere is charged with second-degree forgery, criminal attempt at possession of narcotics, obtaining drugs by forgery and interfering with an officer. He was unable to post his $2,000 bond and is being held at the Greenwich Police Department.
Smith and Abney were charged with criminal attempt at possession of narcotics, second-degree conspiracy to commit forgery, obtaining drugs by forgery and interfering with an officer. Both posted a $1,000 bond and were released.
All three are due to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
