Two New Greenwich Police Officers Sworn In

GREENWICH, Conn. — Two new Greenwich police officers joined the force as they were sworn in Monday morning at Greenwich Town Hall's Meeting Room.

Linda S. Rosenberg of White Plains, N.Y., worked as a community service officer at the New Rochelle Police Department before joining the Greenwich force. Her job included answering 911 calls, front desk duties and issuing non-moving violations. She also has a fraternal twin brother who is a police officer, according to her biography.

Christopher L. Palmer, resident of Northford, graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I. with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice in May 2010. Before becoming a Greenwich police officer, he served in the Junior Volunteer Firefighters Program at the Northford Fire Department, according to his biography.

The new officers will be required to complete an 18-month probationary period, according to a statement from the department.
