2 Busted on Prostitution Charges at Greenwich Spa

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Police arrested a female employee of a Mason Street spa on prostitution-related charges during an undercover investigation of the Greenwich business. A male customer was also arrested.

Detectives received complaints about prostitution at the Simply L. Spa on the second floor of a building at 115 Mason St., police said. When the Greenwich Health Department informed police there was no listing, license or inspection for the “spa,” narcotics officers went undercover on July 13 to investigate.

According to department spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray, a spa employee “offered a full-body massage, which included the manipulation of the undercover officer’s genitalia.”

A woman from Hartsdale, N.Y., was charged with prostitution. A customer in the waiting room admitted to coming to the spa before and said he had returned to engage in sexual acts with one of the employees, according to the report. Police charged a Danbury man with patronizing a prostitute.

Both were released on promises to appear in court July 20.     Follow TheDailyGreenwich.com on Facebook and Twitter!
