GREENWICH, Conn. - Patrick M. Ahern of Greenwich died Sept. 24. He was 73.
Ahern was born June 23, 1940. He grew up in Great Neck, N.Y., and attended St. Mary's High School and graduated from St. John's University.
Ahern is survived by his daughter, Colleen Ahern Garcia (Chris) of Wilton; sons, Michael Ahern of Wilton, Daniel Ahern of Westport and Thomas Ahern (Nichole) of Wellesley, Mass.; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sisters, Dotsy Hester (Steve) of Overland Park, Kan., and Eileen Caruso (Vince) of Garden City; and brother, Jimmy Ahern (Mary) of Commack, N.Y. He was predeceased by his wife, Maureen.
Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Sons Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at St. Michael's Catholic Church 469 North St., Greenwich, with burial to follow at the cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, N.Y.
