GREENWICH, Conn. - May McAndrews, a lifelong Greenwich resident, died Oct. 31. She was 92.
McAndrews was born May 18, 1921, in Stamford, daughter of John Flannery and Elizabeth Keating Flannery, and moved to Greenwich shortly after. She was a 1939 Greenwich High School graduate. She worked at Putnam Trust Co. She worked as a parish secretary at St. Mary in Greenwich from 1966 to 1977 and volunteered at the parish for many years.
McAndrews is survived by her sons, Bill (Sandy) of Cos Cob and Jim (Becky) of Fairfield; four grandchildren; brother, Bill Flannery; sister, Eileen Gove; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Bud McAndrews; brother, John Flannery; and sister, Helen Flannery.
Calling hours are Thursday, Nov. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home on 31 Arch St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at St. Mary Church.
