GREENWICH, Conn. - Marie Archangel Vaccaro Sparagna of Greenwich died Sunday, Sept. 28. She was 90.
Sparagna was born March 1, 1924, in Stamford, to Louis and Fannie Vaccaro. Until recently, she lived in Greenwich.
Sparagna is survived by her husband, Mario Sparagna; son, Carlo (Marialta); daughters, Agata Aspinwall (Jon), Florentine Orosz (Joseph), and Louisa Leigh (Christopher); sister, Marianne (Louis) Robushi; brother, Carmine (Marie) Vaccaro; sisters-in-law, Angelina and Pasqualina; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Joseph, Nina and Louie boy Vaccaro; and brothers-in-law, Anthony and John.
Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 3, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich.
