GREENWICH, Conn. - Maria Esmeralda Cantillano Guevara of Greenwich died Sunday, Nov. 24. She was 83.
Guevara was born Jan. 22, 1930. She entered the Perry Lewis home during the summer of 1973. She was a self-educated woman who taught herself English, how to drive a car, and was very proud when she became an American citizen. Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son, 31 Arch St., Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at St. Mary R.C. on Greenwich Ave.
