Langdale Ketcham, 89, Of Old Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. – Langdale Andrews Ketcham of Old Greenwich died Oct. 3 at Greenwich Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 89. 

She was born Aug. 26, 1923, to Janet Wisner Coates Andrews and Charles Pattson Andrews. After graduating from New Rochelle High School, she attended the Wood School and worked for the Pacquin-Lester Company in New York City. 

Ketcham became an enthusiastic golfer when she and her family moved to Overland Park, Kan., in 1961. She was a member of the Brookridge Country Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution's Kansas City Chapter. 

After returning to Old Greenwich in 1967, she and her husband joined the American Yacht Club in Rye, N.Y. She continued to golf with the Bruce Women's Golf Association and volunteered at Greenwich Hospital. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Parker Ketcham; a sister, Janet Andrews Howard; and a daughter, Sally Ketcham Thomsen. She is survived by a son, William Parker (Renee Amory) Ketcham, of Greenwich; a sister, Joyce Andrews (Eric) Keble, of Tunbridge Wells, U.K.; a brother, Reynell Coates (Judith) Andrews, of Goshen, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Greenwich Hospital, Palliative Care Program, c/o Dr. Donna E. Coletti.
