GREENWICH, Conn. - Josephine Calabro Palastro, a native of Greenwich, died Aug. 10. She was 87.
Palastro was born Dec. 26, 1925, in Greenwich, to Pasquale and Angelina Calabro. She was raised and educated in Greenwich. She worked for many years as a secretary and an accountant. She was a member of the Byram Garden club.
Palastro is survived by her children, David F Palastro (Laurie) of Greenwich and Carol Mandras (Peter) of Stamford; five grandchildren; a great grandson; brother, John A. Calabro (Deana) of Milford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Frank J Palastro; brother, Patrick Calabro; and sister, Nancy Gardner.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16 at Sacred Heart Church, 95 Henry St., Greenwich. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's cemetery, Greenwich.
