GREENWICH, Conn. - John F. Lamkin of Greenwich died Jan. 20. He was 77.
Lamkin was born Oct. 23, 1936, to Fred and Madeline Lamkin. After graduating from trade school, he joined the U.S. Marines Corps and served from 1953 to 1956. After the military, he went on to work as a general contractor.
He is survived by his wife Veronica; his children, Debra, Kimberly and John; and grandchildren, Brian, Jonathan, Jimmy, Justin and Ruby-Lu. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Friday, Jan. 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be private.
