Jack Reyna, Greenwich Country Day Student, Dies

GREENWICH, Conn. – Jack Egan Reyna, 13, a Greenwich Country Day School student of Bedford Corners, N.Y., died July 19 of brain cancer. 

He was born April 9, 1999, in Wolfsburg, Germany to Claudio and Danielle Reyna and was older brother to Giovanni, Joah-Mikel and Carolina.

Reyna attended Greenwich Country Day School and would wake up eager to go to school every morning, his family said. 

Spending time with his parents, siblings, extended family and friends was very important to him. His family said that he was relentless in his pursuit to learn new facts, see new places, taste all foods and live each day to its fullest. 

His father is a National Soccer Hall of Famer, and Jack enjoyed playing soccer and was proud to wear his New York Sports Club jersey with his fellow soccer players. 

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, at Oelker-Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home in Mount Kisco, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church in Bedford. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Making Headway Foundation, 115 King St., Chappaqua, NY 10514.
