GREENWICH, Conn. – Frances G. Manzella of Greenwich died Jan. 20. She was 89.
She was born July 22, 1923, in Greenwich to Joseph G. and Alfreda Dytrych Glinka. She was married for 52 years to Victor J. Manzella Sr., who predeceased her on Feb. 24, 2002.
In addition to raising her family, Manzella worked at Electrolux Corp. in Old Greenwich. She also worked in the parishes of St. Michael the Archangel and St. Catherine of Sienna.
She was active in the Glenville Seniors and Greenwich AARP and enjoyed genealogy, taking photographs and assembling albums related to her family heritage and Greenwich memorabilia.
Manzella is survived by a daughter, Madeline (Frank) Kearns; a son, Victor (Randy) Manzella; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters, Margaret Locke, Mary Glinka and Irene Pennella; and three brothers, Adam Glinka, Henry Glinka and William Glinka.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Castiglione Funeral Home in Greenwich. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich.
