Bragg was born, Oct. 31, 1931, in White Plains, N.Y., son of Edward and Hilda Bragg. He was a graduate of Brunswick School, Princeton University, the Officer Candidate School at the United States Coast Guard Academy, and Harvard Business School. He served two years on the Coast Guard Search & Rescue duty in the Atlantic and one year as commanding officer of a LORAN station in the Pacific - French Frigate Shoals - the smallest inhabited island in the world. He was a partner and managing director of Scudder, Stevens & Clark, the investment counsel firm, with 35 years in the role of managing individual and institutional portfolios. He was a leader at Camp Dudley in Westport, N.Y., and frequent visitor and supporter of Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, N.Y. He was a member of Round Hill Club, the Union Club, John's Island Club and Mill Reef Club.
Bragg is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Philip, James, and Winston; daughter-in-law, Jen; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at Christ Church, Greenwich.
