Charles Koss, 84, Greenwich WWII Veteran

GREENWICH, Conn. – Charles J. Koss of Greenwich died Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Greenwich Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was 84. 

Koss was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Long Island City, N.Y. He served in the Navy during World War II. Koss was a vice president of I.B.J. Schroeder Bank for many years before retiring in 1988. 

His wife, Lucille Papesca Koss, died in 2008.

He is survived by a son, Steven L. (Connie) Koss, of Stamford; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Mary's Church in Stamford. Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory handled arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
