GREENWICH, Conn. Carmela M. D'Andrea of Riverside died June 4. She was 94.
Born August 1, 1917, she was the daughter of Mary Perna D'Andrea and Lorenzo D'Andrea of Riverside. D'Andrea worked at Electrolux for many years before joining CBS in Greenwich.
D'Andrea was like a "second mom" to many of her nieces and nephews. D'Andrea's family would like to thank Greenwich Hospice for their compassionate support.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by six siblings, William Andrea, Louise Ponziani, Catherine Cavaliere, Emma Allegrini, Charles D'Andrea and Louis D'Andrea. She is survived by two sisters, Nora DeMilia and Angelina Sarni; a brother, Joseph D'Andrea; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich. Lacerenza Funeral Home in Stamford handled the arrangements.
