Yvonne Marie Marandino of Greenwich died Nov. 18 from dementia-related complications. She was 74 years old. Born in New York City, she was the granddaughter of silent film pioneer and Universal Pictures co-founder Ernest Jules Brulatour.
Marandino spent several years working with the underprivileged after receiving her masters degree in psychiatric social work from Fordham University. Once her four children were grown, she became a Realtor for Coldwell Banker in Stamford but continued to volunteer, helping others at The Den for Grieving Kids.
She is survived by her children, Missy, Rob, Kim and Cristin; two sisters, Denise and Andree, and five grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church on Thursday, Dec. 2, at noon. A luncheon reception will follow at Riverside Yacht Club.
