Woman Charged With Shoplifting on Greenwich Ave

GREENWICH, Conn. – A New York woman was charged with shoplifting from several Greenwich Avenue stores Sunday, police said.

The managers of TOGS told police that Sarah Liang Warner, 24, of 137 E. 27th St., Apt. 2, placed store merchandise into her purse. They said that when confronted, Warner had a dress with tags still attached that she could not provide a sales receipt for. A search of her bag revealed more merchandise taken from Zara and Kate Spade with a combined value of $1,080.

Warner was charged with larceny and held on a $1,000 bond. She was due in court Monday.

? Scott Kirk, 53, of 24 Frost Road, North Haven, was charged with DWI Sunday when he was stopped driving the wrong way down a one-way street, police said. Kirk had glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol, they said. He failed field sobriety tests. He was released on a $250 bond and is due in court on Sept. 19

? A Greenwich woman reported the father of one of her children pushed her by the neck into a kitchen stove with her 2-year-old child present. The 43-year-old Port Chester, N.Y., man was charged with risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct. He posted a $1,000 bond and was due in court Tuesday.
