Woman Charged With Pulling Switcheroo on Store

GREENWICH, Conn. – A Weston woman turned herself in to the Greenwich Police on Monday on a warrant charging her with attempting to return fake designer items to Richards on Greenwich Avenue.

Wan Tsai, 33, of 39 Eleven O’Clock Road, had bought a Michael Kors dress and an Armani suit jacket along with several other items totaling just less than $1,000. She then attempted to return knockoff items with the labels sewn in at the upscale department store, police said. Store employees recognized the items as fakes. A warrant was obtained, and Tsai turned herself in on a charge of larceny.

She was released on $1,000 bond and is due in court Oct. 3.

Also from the Greenwich Police Department:

• George Carlos Ramirez, 19, of 231 Hamilton Ave., Apt 1, Greenwich, was arrested Sept. 23 on three  warrants charging him with violating his probation. He was held on three $1,000 bonds and is due in court Friday.
