Woman Charged in Theft of $270K Engagement Ring

A South Carolina woman was arrested Tuesday by warrant for allegedly stealing an engagement ring during a friend’s party.

Juliet Jayne Branch, 21, of 2451 Kemway Road, Johns Island, S.C., attended a friend’s birthday party at his parents' residence in Greenwich and allegedly stole the diamond engagement ring worth $270,000 and sold it in Georgia. She was arrested on a felony larceny charge.

Branch was released after posting $1,000 bond and is due in court May 3.
