Glamorous Afternoon with Warren Tricomi: 1 p.m. Join Joel Warren and Edward Tricomi at their Greenwich Salon, 1 East Putnam Ave., for a Glamorous Beauty Event, including new fashion from Mitchells and Saks, wine tasting, skin care, and makeup. A portion of the days sales will benefit Families for Greenwich Hospital. The event is free.
Screening of Hot Millions: 8 p.m. Friends Friday Night Films presents Hot Millions directed by Eric Till, a British comedy about embezzlers and eccentrics. At Greenwich Library Cole Auditorium. Admission is Free. Saturday, May 12
Household Hazardous Waste Day: 8 a.m. Greenwich High School parking lot. Free.
Riverside Run & Kids Fun Run: A three-mile run/walk through scenic Riverside. All proceeds go to the Riverside School PTA to benefit science and art programs. The Kids Fun Run, a noncompetitive loop around the school, starts at 9:30 a.m. Register online. Admission is $20.
Police Day: 9 a.m. Meet the men and women of the Greenwich Police Department. There will be a bouncy castle on site for children, free hot dogs, demonstrations, vehicles and equipment on display, as well as a special U.S. flag workshop. Free.
Historical Society Tea For Kids: 2:30 p.m. 3:30 p.m. Tea for Three: My Mom, My Doll, and Me, including a doll-making workshop led by author Timothy Bellavia at the Greenwich Historical Society, 39 Strickland Road. Admission is $75 adults, $65 children.
Yoga and Meditation Discussion: 2 p.m. 4 p.m. Intro to Raja Yoga Meditation with Erik Larson and Rejuvenating with Yoga with Allison Egan Datwani at the Greenwich Library. Free.
Mens Group Spring Fling: 7 p.m. The Mens Group at Round Hill Community Church host Spring Fling Just for the Fun of It at 397 Round Hill Road. Admission is $30, includes childcare.
Celebration of Spring Concert: 6 p.m. The Westfair Singers, featuring trumpeter David Glukh and pianist Jon Hunt at Second Congregational Church. Admission is $20.
Sunday, May 13 Mothers Day
10th Annual Mothers Day Ride for Greenwich: 8:30 a.m. A casual, family-friendly scenic bike ride either the 7-mile loop around Greenwich Point or the 1.5 mile beginner loop. Includes bagels, coffee, fruit, water, free t-shirt, kids bike games, helmets, bike safety check, and a bike raffle. Admission is $5.
