Watch Out for Icy Roads Overnight in Greenwich

Residents were being advised not to travel unless necessary into Wednesday evening in the aftermath of the snowstorm. The main roads in Greenwich are the first to be cleared, and with 265.3 miles of roadway, there's plenty of ground to cover.

Dropping temperatures overnight could lead to icy conditions on roadways. During the Thursday morning rush hour, police are advising residents to exercise extreme caution. There is considerable blowing and drifting of snow from the amount of snowfall already on the ground.

School parking lots and routes have been cleared, but parents are reminded that all announcements on delays or openings for Thursday morning will be the responsibility of the Board of Education.
