Update: Metro-North Trains Back On Schedule

Update: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Metro-North trains are back on schedule as of about 2:15 p.m. Saturday. Trains experienced lengthy delays throughout much of the morning and early afternoon due to signal problems and residual backups.

Original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Metro-North trains continue to experience delays early Saturday afternoon after signal problems on the New Haven Line. 

Delays at one point reached up to 90 minutes in the morning, but most trains were running within 30 minutes of scheduled times by about noon, Metro-North said.  

Some delays were also reported on the Danbury, New Canaan and Waterbury branch services.
