Two Would-be Shoplifters Arrested

Two women were arrested at the CVS on East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich on Monday after attempting to shoplift from the pharmacy chain store.

Employees confronted Sheena Dume, 18, of 12 Castle Court, Stamford, and Philicia Desiree Alexandre, 22, of 12 Castle Court, Stamford, when they allegedly tried to take the merchandise.

The pair dropped the items and attempted to leave when police arrived and arrested them on charges of sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny and sixth-degree criminal attempt to commit larceny. Both were released on $500 bonds and were due in court Nov. 29.

Also from the police blotter:

• Robert B. Harmon, 18, of 84 Orchard St., Greenwich, on charges of driving under the influence after being involved in a single-vehicle accident on Orchard Street. The police investigation revealed Harmon was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested last week on charges of DUI by a minor, operating under license suspension and failure to maintain a lane. He was released on $250 bond.
