Two Greenwich Girls Run From Suspicious Men

GREENWICH, Conn. – Two Greenwich High School students ran away from two men in a “beat-up” black sedan on Thursday after the duo offered to take them shopping, police reported.

At 1:15 p.m., two black males approached the two unidentified girls on the Post Road in Cos Cob, near Indian Field Road, police said. The girls told police the men said they were “attractive,” and they would like to take them shopping in New York City.

The girls told police the men followed them to the Sunoco gas station at East Putnam Avenue and Indian Field Road, where they got out of their car and approached the students. The girls ran west on East Putnam Avenue toward Greenwich High School, and the men got back into their car and left the area.

Police were continuing to investigate after searching the area for the sedan and finding nothing. The car has new, yellow New York plates.
