Two Charged in Greenwich Jewelry Store Robbery

GREENWICH, Conn. – A Brooklyn, N.Y., man was arrested Friday and charged with robbing a Greenwich Avenue jewelry store, police said. A Terryville woman was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit the robbery.

Raymond Andrew Nunes, 25, of 348 Prospect St., stole several Rolex watches from the Lux Bond & Green store Friday afternoon, police said. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured, officers said. Nunes left the store, police said, and got into a getaway car waiting on Greenwich Avenue. A Hispanic male was driving, according to the police report.

An off-duty officer saw the car and followed it to a parking lot on Dayton Avenue near West Putnam Avenue. The two men fled on foot with the officer in pursuit. Nunes was apprehended and charged with robbery, larceny, conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit larceny and interfering with an officer. He was being held on a $250,000 bond and is due in court on Sept. 30.

Police said they learned that Sarah White-Lebarre, 23, of 11 School St., Terryville, conspired with Nunes to commit the robbery. She was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit larceny. She was being held on a $25,000 bond and is due in court on Sept. 30.
