Two Arrested After Altercation

A man from Port Chester, N.Y., and a Stamford teen were arrested Saturday after the two allegedly beat up a man near Armstrong Court. Police found two males matching the victim's descriptions on Booth Place. They told police they had been involved in a shoving match on Hamilton Avenue after they had asked an unknown female for a lighter. Steven Rodas, 21, of Regent Street, and the 17-year-old were arrested on charges of third-degree assault and two counts of breach of peace. Rodas and the teen each were held on $1,000 bonds. Rodas is due in court Oct. 29. The teen is due in court Oct. 27.

• A Greenwich man was arrested Saturday on domestic violence charges after violating conditions of release stemming from an arrest in 2000 involving his ex-wife, police said. The man was arrested on charges of third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal mischief. He was released on a $1,000 bond and was to appear in court Monday.
