Teen Charged in Assault at Kids in Crisis

A Greenwich teen, who allegedly hit another teen with a pool stick at the Kids in Crisis facility in town, was issued a summons on the charge of third-degree assault Sunday.

The juvenile victim was sitting at a dining table when the other teen picked up a pool stick and struck the victim in the head, causing a small cut on the scalp. The teen is due to appear in court Tuesday.

• A Greenwich woman was arrested Thursday after police said they found marijuana in her car as she was driving with her three young sons in the backseat. Katherine P. Lambert, 32, of 228 Hamilton Ave., was stopped on West Putnam Avenue for allegedly having a front headlight out. During the stop, police smelled marijuana in the car and found three unwrapped blunt wrappers. Her three sons, all under the age of 10, were in the car. She was arrested on charges of failure to display headlight, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. Lambert was released on a promise to appear in court Jan. 13.

• A former couple was arrested on assault and disorderly conduct charges after a fight resulted in the female half of the pair sustaining a bruised and swollen left eye in Greenwich on Saturday. After reporting the incident to police, the woman was transported to Stamford Hospital for treatment. Police called the man, who had left the scene, and he turned himself in to the police department and was arrested on charges of assault and disorderly conduct. He posted a $1,000 bond and was due in court Monday. After investigating, police charged the woman with disorderly conduct. She was located and issued a misdemeanor summons. She was set to appear in court Monday.
