Stop Sign Runner Arrested With Marijuana

A man was arrested in Greenwich after marijuana was found in his car during a motor vehicle stop. Jess W. Tillinghast, 25, of 11 Cedar St., was driving south on Byram Road when he failed to stop for a stop sign and was pulled over by police. The officer saw a folded piece of paper filled with marijuana in the car as well as an unwrapped cigar. Tillinghast was arrested on charges of failure to obey a stop sign, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a misdemeanor summons with a court date of Sept. 20.
