Scuffle Over Tot Leads to Arrest

An unmarried couple from San Antonio, Tex., were arrested Saturday in Old Greenwich when a verbal tiff turned violent. The couple were visiting relatives with their infant son when an argument escalated. The mother, 29, attempted to take the son from the father, 30, and go back to Texas. The mother grabbed the father as he held their son, resulting in injuries to all three. Both parents were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, though the mother was also charged with risk of injury to a minor. Both were released on promises to appear in court on Tuesday.

? Brothers were arrested Friday on breach of the peace charges after fighting in their home. An officer saw three men fighting on Beech Street and, on investigating, found that another man was trying to break it up. The fight was so rowdy, neighbors came out of their homes to watch. One man received a minor injury on his mouth. Both Alexander Mendez, 21, of 15 Beech St. and his 17 -year-old brother were arrested and released on promises to appear in court on Tuesday.

? Frederick Pagnani, 19, of 51 Old Stone Bridge Road in Greenwich was arrested Sunday on charges of criminal trespassing and possession of marijuana under four ounces within 1,500 feet of a school. Pangnani had been driving his Volkswagen Jetta in the parking lot of the Lower Cross School, despite a no-trespassing sign in front of the school. Officers stopped Pagnani's car and arrested him for trespassing. After patting him down, the officer found a pack of cigarettes with marijuana inside as well as a smoking pipe. Pagnani was released on a promise to appear in court Sept. 13.
