Ruth Quiriconi, Greenwich Native

Ruth Collins Caruso Quiriconi, a native of Greenwich, died on May 19 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was 75 years old.

Quiriconi was born in Greenwich to J. Fred and Mabel Collins. She graduated from Greenwich High School and Katharine Gibbs. She worked as a trust administrator for Citytrust and was later the office administrator for Oak Lawn Cemetery Association in Fairfield. Past president of the Rosary Guild at Holy Family Church in Fairfield, she was also a former member of the Fairfield Junior Women’s Club, the Roger Ludlow Parent’s Club and a volunteer at the Thomas Merton House. She spent her remaining years living in Monroe.

Quiriconi is survived by four children, Daniel F. Caruso of Fairfield, Frederick A. Caruso, Jr. and his wife Gale of Stratford, Michael P. Caruso and his wife Jill of Easton and Nancy E. Caruso of Ansonia; two step-daughters, Diane Desjarlais and her husband Robert of Florida and Linda Chizmadia of Stratford; a brother, J. Fred Collins, Jr. and his wife Susan of Stamford; and 14 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday at St. Jude Church, Monroe. Interment followed in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Tpke., Monroe, CT 06468 or the The Connecticut Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
