GREENWICH, Conn. The state Department of Transportation plans to resurface portions of US Route 1 in Greenwich from Dearfield Drive to the New York State border starting this weekend.
Work is scheduled to begin Sunday, Oct. 2, and conclude, weather permitting, Thursday Oct. 6. The work will take place between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Residents should allow extra time if they plan to use Route 1 during these hours. There will be no construction during morning and evening commuting times.
The departments District 3 office is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the project, as Route 1 is a state road.
