GREENWICH, Conn. A bingo night fundraiser in Greenwich Friday will raise money for the Metro NY North Chapter of the American Red Cross.
There also will be dinner, raffles, face-painting and fortune telling at bingo night, which will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church at 1 West Putnam Ave., Greenwich. Tickets are $10 per person.
Some people think about American Red Cross as the people who provide 'shelter in a storm,' others remember that the Red Cross helps the U.S. meet its blood supply needs for emergencies, and still others think of all the help the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies provide in the large scale natural disasters, getting supplies to victims all over the globe. American Red Cross is all of these things and more, says Rachel McAree, a Red Cross board member and co-chair of bingo night.
The Red Cross is able to provide all this help, thanks to donations, fundraisers and our amazing network of volunteers, added Heidi Paul, vice president of corporate affairs at Nestle Waters and a Red Cross board member and co-chair of bingo night.
To attend bingo night, RSVP to Tonette.Cookson@redcross.org. For more information about the American Red Cross, visit www.redcross.org.
