A hand-count Wednesday at the town hall of this months primary ballot results from Riverside School found no differences with the numbers tabulated by electronic scanning machines.
We demonstrated that the machines counted as promised, said Fred DeCaro III, the Republican registrar of voters.
Eight poll workers quickly counted the ballots cast for lieutenant governor in the Republican and the Democratic primaries which matched the numbers counted electronically. Mark Boughton beat Lisa Wilson-Foley in the GOP race while Nancy Wyman defeated her Democratic challenger Mary Glassman.
Eight ballots of 512 were deemed questionable because circles werent properly filled in.
Since the state began the audits for 10 percent of all voting precincts in the state three years ago, Greenwich has been chosen for a recount six out of seven times.
