GREENWICH, Conn. A Port Chester, N.Y., man was arrested in Greenwich Sunday on multiple charges after a woman claimed he assaulted her.
Officers were flagged down by a woman screaming that she had just been assaulted. She told police that Matthew Pearce, 30, of 92 Hobart Ave., Port Chester, had punched her in the face numerous times while she was parked in the rear lot of the Sokol Club, according to police reports. Officers found Pearce and said they had to Taser him because he resisted arrest. He was transported to Greenwich Hospital.
Pearce was charged with criminal mischief, interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct, and assault. He was being held on a $5,000 bond and was due in court Monday.
